Action Learning Facilitator Training (Stage 2)

An advanced action learning course aimed at further developing and mastering facilitation skills

Course outline:

  • new action learning techniques to add to your portfolio
  • the steps in becoming a master of action learning facilitation
  • recognising the common pitfalls when facilitating - and finding solutions
  • how to become an action learning mentor
  • practical issues to consider when facilitating sets
  • mastering the challenge/empathy matrix
  • try out new techniques within a supportive setting
  • solve problems and issues relating to own vision of action learning
  • set up vital support links with other professional facilitators

Pre-requisites:

Participants must have completed Stage 1 or a similar programme, or have experience facilitating an action learning set

Day 1   Mastering the practice of facilitation

  • Discover the facilitation skills you need that really benefit an action learning group.
  • Identify and then step beyond your usual constraints into facilitation mastery

             
Day 2    Design, deliver & sell action learning programmes

  • Learn the most productive and efficient way of setting up an action learning group.
  • We will show you how to ‘get action learning and yourself out there’ – into organisations and groups in a variety of sectors


Day 3    New action learning techniques and frameworks

  • When you are regularly facilitating you need fresh ideas.
  • We will give you a selection of new techniques and group activities to test out.
  • Boost your energy and enthusiasm as a facilitator and improve learning and inspire action from your group


Day 4    Consolidation of Theory & Practice

Pre-requisite:

To acheive accreditation participants must complete the full 3 days training prior to attending the consolidation of theory and practice day 4.

Accreditation is available with the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) on completion of the full training course and payment of the accreditation registration fee.
