Assertiveness Training

The course is an introduction to the art of clear, honest and direct communication. You will learn techniques that help you kick out the need for approval and help you make your own decisions. You will learn to evaluate your behaviour in the light of others’ criticism. You will learn techniques that leave you with a tremendous feeling of self-confidence, self-respect and self-worth. The freedom to be who you are, not who other people think you are.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Use techniques to improve confidence and express needs
  • Manage anger, deal with conflict and criticism
  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Say ‘no’
  • Identify the importance of body language, tone, voice pitch and language when being assertive
  • Communicate clearly about a problem without attacking, blaming or hurting other people
  • Make complaints with ease and grace

9.30am – 12.30pm

Location:

Venue of your choice, or arranged by ecf training
