Coaching Skills for Managers

This is highly practical and interactive in-house training. Learn techniques that will leave others feeling focused, motivated and able to manage change and personal challenges. Learn ways of helping others sort out their own issues, make their own decisions, evaluate their behaviour and improve the quality of their lives by utilising skills that cut to the core of a problem. Coaching techniques and models included are The Grow Model, Non- directive coaching and the Coaching Communication Cycle.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Define ‘coaching’ and identify how it fits in the work place
  • Become an expert listener
  • Set Goals
  • Role model
  • Identify risky behaviour
  • Acknowledge success
  • Identify aspirations and dreams
  • Try out some of the techniques of coaching
  • Identify the importance of body language, tone, voice pitch and language when coaching
  • Understand how to evaluate your own coaching
