About ecf
Our Principles
At ecf we believe that the following principles should inform training and coaching practices, and we strive to model them throughout the courses and services that we provide:
Participation: We use interactive techniques and activities that bring theory to life. We are committed in creating a relaxed and safe environment where all group members feel free to fully participate
Non-directive Learning: We encourage learner responsibility, by creating opportunities for reflective practice, which enable learners to find independent strategies and solutions to enhance their own study.
Non-directive Coaching and Facilitating: We use a non-directive approach which involves asking effective questions, summarizing, paraphrasing, reflecting, and listening with the aim to help individuals and groups utilise their own resources and expertise to create fulfilling and enjoyable working lives.
Difference and Diversity: We train in a way, which takes account of the different prior experience, knowledge and resources brought by participants to the learning process, and which attempts to implement inclusive approaches to training, learning and assessment.
Democracy: Equity and equal opportunity underpins all our practice as trainers and coaches, and is an essential and significant component of course delivery and coaching practice.
