Booking terms and conditions

1. Payment terms

  • Payment must be received before the start of the course/coaching* or within 30 days of invoice date, whichever is the sooner.
  • We accept payment by credit or debit card, cheque or BACS.
  • There is currently no VAT charged for ecf courses and services

2. Cancellations, transfers and non-attendance


All cancellations and requests to transfer must be made in writing to ecf either by email or letter and will be acknowledged in writing.

2.1 Transfers

  • There is no charge for transferring to an alternative course or coaching date, provided the request is received 31 or more days before the start of the course.* One free transfer can be made after which there will be a £100 administration charge for each further request.
  • Requests to transfer received 0-30 days before the start of the course will be subject to a transfer fee of 20% of the course fees.
  • It is possible to substitute an alternative participant on any place booked at no additional cost.

2.2 Cancellations

  • There is no charge for cancellations received 61 or more days before the start of the course.*
  • Cancellations received 29-60 days before the start of the course are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the course fees.
  • Cancellations received 15-28 days before the start of the course are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the course fees.
  • Cancellations received 0-14 days before the start of the course are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the course fees.
  • ecf reserve the right to cancel a course at any time and offer an alternative date to those with confirmed bookings. If none can be provided then a credit or a refund will be given.
  • ecf will not be liable for any losses or expenses, including consequential, arising from any such alterations or amendments to the programme content and schedule including cancellation.

Non Attendance

  • If the participant or coaching client fails to attend the course or coaching session, the full course fees are payable.

3. General

3.1 Accessibility

Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate participants with additional needs in terms of accessibility, participants are required to bring these to the attention of ecf staff at the time of booking to ensure that appropriate arrangements can be made.

3.2 Content and copyright

  • Information presented on the ecf website, printed literature, and course documents is correct at the time of publishing. However, alterations may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • Views expressed by coaches, course and personal tutors are their own. ecf do not accept any liability for advice given or views expressed by them or in any notes or documentation provided to course delegates, coaching client or certificate students.
  • Each course will provide training materials for the sole use of participation on the course. It is a condition of participation that companies attending the course will not use training materials for the basis of running their own training courses for employees or third parties.

3.3 Exclusions

ecf reserves the right to refuse access to training facilities and premises where there is reason to believe that a participant is in breach of these conditions or where a participant uses threatening, bullying, harassing or disruptive behavior. ecf will not be liable for any losses or expense (including course fees and consequential damages) incurred by a delegate arising from such an exclusion.

3.4 Data protection

  • Administration of the courses will require ecf to keep computerised records of participants. Participation implies acceptance of this by companies and individuals. Such records will be maintained in compliance with data protection legislation and will only be used for course administrations and required reporting to statutory agencies and funding bodies.

3.5 Confidentiality

  • To afford the maximum measure of protection for the confidential interests of all participants, all members of our staff are employed under a service contract which contains a clause strictly forbidding the unauthorised disclosure of information.
