Communication Skills Training

A practical and interactive course that increases your confidence and improves valuable verbal and non-verbal skills. This is an interactive session, including practical skills and activities to improve communication.

We will address specific communication issues within your organisation and learn how to apply techniques such as the Thomas-Kilman Conflict Mode and the ABCD Eldis Problem Solving Strategy that will help employees work more effectively and confidently with one another.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the dominant and subtle ways in which we communicate
  • Gain expert listening and responding skills
  • See things from other points of view
  • Identify what gets in the way of good communication
  • Understand how others may see you
  • Use the signs of body language
  • Increase confidence when dealing with challenging people
  • Understand your strengths and weaknesses when communicating
  • Practice some techniques using tone, pacing, language and posture
  • Create a practical communications ‘tool-kit’

9.30am – 12.30pm

Venue of your choice, or arranged by ecf training
