Problem Solving Techniques

The first part of this course will be spent clarifying work based issues and problems for those participating in the session. Then, individuals will learn how to apply the various problem solving techniques to specific problems. This is an interactive course which draws on activities and exercises including Ellis’s 7 point problem solving model, the Circle of Influence, Covey’s time management matrix, Root Cause Analysis tool and Action Learning.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify issues and how they arise
  • Practice appropriate problem solving techniques to overcome issues
  • Identify priorities in the workplace
  • Understand the communication skills required in action learning

9.30am – 4.00pm

Participants:

Group of up to 20 people

Location:

Venue of your choice, or arranged by ecf training
